
New chancellor values alumni
Newly appointed UTC chancellor Dr. Steve Angle believes UTC alumni play a critical role in UTC’s achievements.
“Alumni are vested in the future of the University. Their degree, which is something they’ve worked very hard to attain, can rise in value with the prestige and impact of the University or shrink if we’re not doing a good job. They have a real interest in seeing the University excel and grow with quality,” Angle said.

PANM alumni advise current students
An active group of Public Administration and Non-Profit Management program (PANM) alumni offered advice to current students as they consider a non-profit career. The professionals urged students not to be afraid of a small budget or their own lack of expertise in a particular area; they offered a reminder to be careful on social media so that personal business does not reflect poorly on an employer; and they explained the power of non-profits. Lady Mocs' 11th trip to NCAA Tournament
We’re so proud of our Women’s Basketball team and Head Coach Wes Moore, named 2012-13 SoCon Coach of the Year! The Lady Mocs regained their place at the top of the Southern Conference with an incredible 19-1 regular season record for an unprecedented 18th SoCon title. Three exciting games in the league Tournament in Asheville, N.C., included a nail-biter--a one-point victory over Davidson in the title game. Wrestlers win big
Congratulations to our Mocs wrestlers, who won their 27th Southern Conference Wrestling Tournament Title and to Head Coach Heath Eslinger – SoCon Coach of the Year. The Mocs put eight in the finals and won four individual titles on the way to their third-straight championship.
Chattanooga took a 31-point lead into the finals. The Mocs finished with 102.5 points, 40 more than second-place Campbell. The Citadel was third at 59.0. Check gomocs.com for more news.
