UTC students of today are tomorrow's UTC alumni. To help them prepare for their future role in the alumni family, the UTC Alumni Office and Development Office facilitate and advise a series of programs and organizations for current students.
The FAM
The FAM is an open membership student alumni association that is FREE for all currently enrolled UTC students. The FAM's three key aspects are FAM Spirit (or fun), Campus Involvement and Traditions, and Life Beyond College. Together, these three aspects help to not only make the student college experience memorable, it also helps to prepare students for life after they graduate. To join The FAM and get more information, visit www.utcfam.com.
Student Alumni Council
The Student Alumni Council (SAC) is a closed-membership group of students at UTC who serve as ambassadors for the University. SAC ambassadors are dedicated to serving the University and preparing UTC students for their future as alumni. They are also the leadership board for The FAM. Students interested in being a part of SAC's legacy of service and commitment to UTC may apply at the beginning of each semester. Learn more by visiting www.utcfam.com/about-sac.
Student Foundation
Tuition and state funds only provide a fraction of the cost needed to fund and operate the University. The remaining amount, including student scholarships, are funded by private gifts to the University. Not only are these gifts important to the funding formula, the percentage of alumni and student giving is vital to several university rankings. Student Foundation officers organize key initiatives to help educate current students on the importance of giving. Learn more about the Student Foundation by clicking here.
