Are you an alumnus/a or friend of UTC and would like to stay involved on campus? There are several opportunities in which you can be involved. Please look through the list below of ways to serve the University.
Alumni Board of Directors
The UTC Alumni Board of Directors is the main advising body for the UTC Office of Alumni Affairs. They connect the University with students, alumni and communities. By building and nurturing networks and relationships, the board promotes communication, partnerships and outreach between the University and its constituencies. All board members must be alumni of the University and have prior involvement with programs and activities facilitated by the UTC Alumni Office.

Alumni Leadership Council (ALC)
The Alumni Leadership Council is a group of alumni whose purpose is to identify alumni who are willing to commit the time and energy to work with others in the continued development of our University. Through this program interested alumni will become more involved with university issues, alumni programs and services, and if invited, will be prepared to take on advanced alumni leadership roles in the future. The ALC is the general alumni volunteer program for UTC open to all alumni. ALC members sit on activity or program committees, scholarship committees and assist in the development and facilitation of various events.

A Taste of UTC - Summer Send Offs
The Summer Send-off Program is a University tradition that involves alumni or parents who host receptions or picnics for incoming UTC freshmen and transfer students from their home town during the summer months. The receptions connect students with alumni and other students and make them feel a part of the UTC community before they even arrive on campus.

GOLD Alumni - Graduates Of the Last Decade
GOLD encompasses all alumni of UTC who have graduated, or passed at least 24 semester hours from the university within ten years of the most recent graduating class. GOLD = Grads Of the Last Decade. At UTC, over 13,000 alumni are graduates of the last 10 years, and this number is growing larger with every graduating class. Approximately 7,000 GOLD alumni live in Hamilton County. Because of this large number and the fact that our young alumni represent an abundance of virtually untapped resources of energy and enthusiasm, the GOLD Alumni program was established to provide an opportunity for more organized participation and leadership within the younger group.

GOLD Council:
The GOLD Council is a group of alumni who advocate for the interests of young alumni and help the UTC Alumni Office in the facilitation of special programs and activities for young alumni. If you are interested in serving on the GOLD Council and giving back to your University, please fill out our GOLD Council interest form.
Dinner with 12 Strangers
Local alumni host dinners in their homes for students, faculty and fellow alumni in an effort to make UTC a smaller, friendlier place. As a program of the UTC Student Alumni Council, the Dinner with 12 Strangers involves an evening of good food, good conversation and UTC hospitality. By the end of the evening, 12 strangers, all with a Mocs background, have become 12 friends.
Alumni Career Mentor Program
The Alumni Career Mentoring Program is a great way for UTC students and alumni to get in touch with other UTC graduates who can provide information or direction about career choices. The program consists of a database of alumni who have volunteered to share their career experiences and advice with students and other alumni. These individuals have diverse academic backgrounds and represent many industries, career fields, job functions and locations. This program is run in collaboration with the UTC Placement and Student Employment Center.

Alumni receive a discount on several of these events. To receive this discount, please show your general UTC alumni card at the time of purchasing your tickets.
Wear Your Mocs Gear
Wear your UTC Mocs apparel proudly everywhere you go and help to share your story about your UTC experience. Alumni receive a discount on purchases of UTC branded apparel at the UTC Bookstore.
UT Alumni Association Chapters
UTAA chapters exist across the nation and globe and serve as a way for alumni from all UT campuses to come together for fellowship, social activities and to cheer on our favorite UT campus athletics teams. They are also incredibly useful in helping to develop an instant group of friends when relocating to a new city or region. Be sure to get involved in your local chapter today.
